Woman Collects Feminine Products to Donate to the Homeless

There is always something that you can do to help someone, even in the slightest possible manner. At times all it takes is for you to think outside the box, and you will find something that you can do and assist someone who is in need. Sometimes it is the small things that we take for granted that eventually come back to mean the most to someone else, so much more than we would ever have thought possible.

Take the case of Dana Marlowe for example. Dana has gone over and above what others would do. She decided to take her time and support the homeless women, by giving them stuff that perhaps they would have chosen to do without.

When you come to think about it, a lot of the homeless women already struggle to afford things like food and housing. Therefore feminine products such as menstrual hygiene stuff, bras and the like happen to be stuff that might perhaps cross their minds, but will not really matter to them because they cannot afford it. However, for any woman to feel comfortable and get that dignity boost, these are important things in their lives.

Dana is more than just offering to help these ladies, she has been around a lot of people who need help, and decided to do something about it. The mother of two currently runs a disability advocacy and consulting company, so she constantly is in contact with people who need help in one way or the other.

The kinds of donations that come through to the homeless shelters barely include the hygiene products that women need, and this is why Marlowe decided to come up with Support the Girls. In her spare time she does rounds collecting these products from well-wishers and drops them off in shelters within Washington D.C wherein she resides.
